Watch: Young Copywriter Creates Unusual Video for Cannes Young Lions Creative Academy

All things Cannes are just around the corner, including the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity. The "Under 30" division is "dedicated to nurturing the young talent of [the] industry: the students, young creatives, up-and-coming marketing talent, suits and young directors." DDB Toronto copywriter Daniel Bonder felt his work deserved entry into the Young Lions Creative Academy, but the clock was ticking. Bonder turns 29 years old this summer, and in the spirit of being young and dumb he created a "f*ck-it" list of everything he wanted to do before the big 3-0. Bonder turned the list into a video submission for Young Lions, and was accepted. Sometimes being reckless pays! 

In the video Bonder drinks like a fiend, has sex in an alley, gets a face tattoo, and more. "All alcohol consumed and karaoke sang was real. The sexual acts were not," Bonder confirmed. Design Taxi shared the copywriter's video, and we've posted it for your viewing pleasure. "I love that [advertising] is an industry where crazy ideas like this aren’t just accepted but applauded," Bonder expressed. See what he means below.
