There are so many various layers to this little bit on the Jimmy Kimmel show that we're sure graduate students could write an entire thesis about it. First you have current Star Trek director and future Star Wars director J.J. Abrams doing everything he can to ignore his ultraserious personality in order to have a little fun with Kimmel. Then you have Abrams trying to respond to joke questions from crazy audience plants dressed in Star Wars costumes, while at the same time he's probably saying to himself, "Great, this is the rest of my life now."
Then, to top it all off, the bit ends with William Shatner (of all people) pitching Abrams on a sex scene between Princess Leia and Chewbacca. This, of course, comes after Shatner was very publicly left out of both of Abrams' Star Trek movies, so we're sure there's a little weirdness there. Watch how it all goes down below. And we're sorry J.J., but you need to kick that sense of humor up just one notch.
Also: watch for a cameo from our friend Dave Karger, chief correspondent over at Fandango, who's sitting behind Shatner when he does his thing.
