Every year heading into awards season the New York Times does a Hollywood issue. And every year it comes with an accompanying photo gallery featuring the year's biggest stars. Last year it was a spread in which actors re-enacted classic film scenes. This year, however, things are a little different. It still finds your favorite stars from this year's biggest movies in front of the camera, only this time it's a video gallery and the theme is "cinematic villany."
You'll have to head over to the NYT website to view all 13 videos and we highly, highly encourage you do. It's a very interesting experiment and while some are better (Viola Davis) than others (Jean Dujardin), they're all worth a looksie.
If you need help figuring out who any of the villains are, check out this board of reference images. And if you're curious to read about how it all came together, the NYT already has you covered there, as well.
