It was previously announced that Cartoon Network would be creating an animated series based on DreamWorks' 2010 3D Viking-meets-mythical monster tale, How to Train Your Dragon. The story about a teenage viking who tries follow in the footsteps of his forefathers by becoming a dragon slayer and ends up befriending the beast he set out to kill will become the series, Dragons. Coming Soon shares that the adaptation will feature the same characters and universe audiences loved on the big screen. There are two new teasers available, so check them out below. Let us know if you want to continue following the adventures of Hiccup and his pal Toothless starting June 20, 2014.
The 3D mythological spectacle continues in the Clash of the Titans sequel, Wrath of the Titans starring Sam Worthington and directed this time by Battle: Los Angeles filmmaker Jonathan Liebesman. This time Worthington's heroic Perseus tries to save Zeus (Liam Neeson) who is trapped in the dark underworld thanks to his traitorous son Ares (Édgar Ramírez) and his brother, the big bad himself, Hades (Ralph Fiennes). The film gets an IMAX 3D release on March 30.
Zombieland writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick have whipped up G.I. Joe: Retaliation for June 29. Directed by Step-Up 3-D filmmaker Jon Chu, the film stars Dwayne Johnson, Bruce Willis, Channing Tatum, Arnold Vosloo, Ray Park, Jonathan Pryce, and Lee Byung-hun and centers around Cobra spy Zartan who assassinates several of the Joes. The remaining team fights together and strikes back.
We keep hoping Pixar's Brave will turn into a female version of Braveheart, but since that's not likely to happen we'll just have to wait until June 22 to see what's in store for young archer Merida (voiced by Kelly Macdonald). The 3D animated fantasy film finds its leading lady defying tradition. She ends up opening a Pandora's Box, unleashing evil upon her kingdom. Merida has to use her brains and skills to undo the curse before it's too late. Watch the new teaser below.
