Back to the Future fans know that their hero, one Marty McFly (Michael J. Fox), drank a hell of a lot of Pepsi in the 1985 film. Fox had a contract with the soda company to appear in commercials during that time, and the soft drink was featured throughout the film. Director Robert Zemeckis wanted to spotlight a product that had changed packing and appearance between 1955 and 1985, so he chose Pepsi. The cola also features in this magic show starring YouTube wiz Stuart Edge, who recently visited Comic-Con dressed as Marty McFly.
His routine starts with the usual card tricks, but once we get to the Pepsi gag, things perk up — and we even get a banana (reminiscent of the banana peel that powers Marty’s DeLorean time machine). And if you're wondering how the hell a piece of fruit can act as an electrical conductor, read up on this.
