Watch Simon Pegg Describe 'Mission: Impossible -- Rogue Nation' Using Only Emojis

Jul 27, 2015

Ah, emojis... you love 'em, you hate 'em, and you can't stop using them.

Emojis work because they force us to think more visually and express ourselves with imagery, which is part of the reason why they're so addictive. It's fun to see why our friends and family use emojis and how they use them (and why they shouldn't be using them -- stop sending me random flower-puppy emoji combos, mom), and you can't help but break out a fist-bump whenever Star Wars introduces a new set of emojis on Twitter.

I mean, c'mon.

How would you describe your favorite movie using only emojis? While in Vienna, Austria attending the premiere of Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation for Fandango, I asked Simon Pegg (who plays computer genius Benji Dunn in the film) to do just that -- except the movie in question was his own.

All those cars at the end represent one of the film's most dynamic sequences -- and probably the greatest extended stretch of action in a movie this year. What begins with an incredibly tense heist that takes place mostly underwater eventually ends two set-pieces later with a daring motorcycle chase at 200mph.

Sandwiched in between is an epic car chase with Simon Pegg playing shotgun to a wobbly Tom Cruise. Here's one thing to consider while watching that sequence in theaters later this week.

How would you describe Mission: Impossible -- Rogue Nation in emojis? Go!
