Will Smith channels Lethal Weapon's Roger Murtaugh — family-friendly-style! — for the Men in Black III trailer. He's too old for this, he tells partner K (Tommy Lee Jones) — and we tend to agree with him, but it works for Sony's all-ages franchise, which is loaded with goofy alien shenanigans. The new trailer gives away a little too much, but we find out that Agent K is dead, the planet seems overrun by alien beings, Smith's Agent J "gets high" and travels back to 1969 to get help from the younger K (Josh Brolin) — and it all has to be put right before 24 hours is up, otherwise Smith's trapped in the past forever. Bill Hader also appears as Andy Warhol — or maybe not. You can find out what happens for yourself in the trailer below. The 3D film hits theaters on May 25th. If you want to dig a little deeper into the behind-the-scenes stuff, read on for more about the movie from Smith himself who recently spoke to Yahoo.
Smith shared with readers that getting back to the role of Agent J after a ten-year hiatus wasn't difficult. " … It's almost like riding a bike. A pretty black bike," he said. He's also pretty pumped about the 3D aspect of the film and believes it's the type of movie meant for the medium. Traveling back to the '60s also upped the ante, according to Smith, who says that there are "much funnier" scenarios at play. He also described the third installment as the "best of the three." Emphasizing that point, Smith feels the film " … will go down in cinematic history."
