Watch: The Muppets Respond to Fox News' Claims That Their Movie is Pushing a Liberal Agenda

Jan 30, 2012

Not long ago Fox News stirred up a bit of controversy when they claimed that the new Muppet movie was pushing a liberal agenda in an attempt to brainwash kids into being anti-oil and against the wealthy, in part by creating a villain named Tex Richman (played by Chris Cooper). During a recent press conference a couple of the Muppets -- including Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy -- had a chance to defend themselves against Fox News' claims. "If we had a problem with the oil companies, why would we have spent the entire film driving around in a gas-guzzling Rolls Royce," Kermit said, with Miss Piggy adding, "It's almost as laughable as accusing Fox News of, ya know, being news."

Check out the clip below. Something tells us this battle between a legitimate news organization and a group of puppets is far from over.
