Deadpool 2

Update #1: We get out first look at Josh Brolin in action as Cable in a new teaser for the untitled Deadpool sequel. It all looks like a typical superhero movie until Wade Wilson (Ryan Reynolds), aka Deadpool, breaks the fourth wall, hilariously. Check out the NSFW (not safe for work) trailer below and note that the movie is now set for release on May 18.

You want to show fans a teaser, but there's not enough finished footage to fill much time, so what do you do? What would Deadpool do? In the case of the first look at his upcoming movie sequel, he offers a little skit spoofing iconic PBS painting show host Bob Ross. This is an R-rated parody, by the way, so hide your children, even those who might actually appreciate a send up of The Joy of Painting and punny color names like "Doc Brown," "Mennen Black" and "Betty White."

Fans wanting to see actual clips from Deadpool 2 as opposed to or in addition to Ryan Reynolds in costume plus afro wig, there is a very quick montage. We see Deadpool with guns, Negasonic Teenage Warhead (Brianna Hildebrand) with a new hairdo, other returning favorites including Weasel (T.J. Miller) and Blind Al (Leslie Uggams) and newcomers Domino (Zazie Beetz), a mysterious character played by Hunt for the Wilderpeople's Julian Dennison and yes, a brief hint of Cable (Josh Brolin).

Watch the teaser below.

David Leitch, who recently helmed Atomic Blonde and codirected John Wick. Most of his career, however, has been doing second unit and stunt work. For the X-Men franchise, he did the latter on X-Men Origins: Wolverine and the former on The Wolverine

Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, both returning from the first Deadpool. Once again, their script is based on Marvel characters created by Rob Liefeld and Fabian Nicieza.
