The Nitro Circus crew (AKA people who do things like the Jackass
boys) were booted from MTV's lineup in 2010, but instead of pouting about it they made a movie. A trailer for Nitro Circus The Movie 3D
has arrived, and motocross guru Travis Pastrana and the gang have mastered (kind of) a slew of ridiculous, extreme stunts for your amusement. A commenter on Gizmodo's
site pointed out that the difference between these goofy hijinks and Jackass
is that "Jackass
is about watching people hurt themselves. Nitro Circus
is more about watching people pull of incredible stuff without hurting themselves." This writer has never seen the show, so we'll take your word on that.
The Nitro team is asking for your patience before the "biggest and best stunts" they've ever attempted are released in theaters. "In truth, we don't have a definitive release date yet but we're getting closer. We hope it will be released sometime in the coming summer but the exact date still needs to be decided by the distributor," Nitro shared on their YouTube page.
Check out the trailer below, and let us know if you'd pay money to watch Nitro do their thing, or if MTV cancelled them for a good reason.
