Wolverine and Storm

Fans will have all sorts of extras to explore when X-Men: Days of Future Past debuts on Blu-ray and DVD next Tuesday. Until then, we’ve got a sneak peek at one of the film’s steamier deleted scenes – a mutant-powered lip-lock between Wolverine and Storm.

Yahoo! Movies scored the exclusive clip, which is basically a fan-fic writer’s dream made real. While Logan and Storm have flirted back and forth for years in the comics, this sequence brings the passion to the screen – well, it would have, had it actually managed to stay in the final cut of the film.

The scene takes place before Wolverine heads back in time to change history – and it seemingly comes out of nowhere, which might be part of why it didn’t make it into the film. While we don’t know why the scene was ultimately excised, some have guessed that it could have caused continuity problems moving forward, while others just don’t think the scene has quite the spark it needed to be worthy of inclusion.

Whatever you think, at least you get to see Halle Berry and Hugh Jackman suck face for a few seconds. That’s gotta count for something, right? Do you think cutting this screen smooch was the right call, or should they have kept it in the finished film? Weigh in below.
