Watch: A Day in the Life of 'Peanuts' Creator Charles M. Schulz

Back in 1963 a 30-minute documentary on the life of Peanuts creator Charles M. Schulz was in the can and supposed to air on TV, though it never did. While it never did see the light of day, it's said that this doc eventually helped pave the way for A Charlie Brown Christmas, as well as future Charlie Brown TV specials. In fact, portions of this doc aired in TV spots for A Charlie Brown Christmas at the time. Those interested in owning the doc can do so by purchasing it through the Charles M. Schulz Museum.

Fortunately for us some snippets from the doc are online, like these two pieces featuring Schulz discussing his inspiration for Charlie Brown and some of the other characters (including rare video of the artist drawing the famous character). Check it out below ...
