Watch a College Marching Band Blow Your Mind with a Tribute to 'Jurassic Park,' 'Superman' and More Movies

Oct 28, 2013

Band geeks and movie nerds: behold this awesome video of the Ohio State University Marching Band creating formations based on your favorite Hollywood blockbusters. The students re-created scenes from Superman, Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter and Jurassic Park — and the level of commitment and detail is amazing.

This isn’t your high school halftime show. Ohio State went all out, with accompanying music and animated segments. Superman flies from a phone booth to save a falling building. Harry Potter takes a ride on his broomstick through the air. A T. rex stomps through the field, chomping its jaws. It’s a fun throwback to those magical moments when you saw the films for the first time in theaters.

Trust us: we know people the size of ants running around on a football field sounds like it could be really lame, but this performance is great.
