Watch: Celebrity Faces Mash Together to Form These Freakishly Addictive Videos

In this great, big Internet of ours, mash-ups are a dime a dozen. A new YouTube account, the plainly titled FaceMashups, aims to give the familiar meme a twist by animating "two-faced" stars. It's similar to that Conan O’Brien sketch, but with an added grotesque absurdity. "Through some clever — and tedious — masking, motion stabilization and motion tracking, I am able to lock the superimposed mouth onto the other actor's head so that it follows their movements realistically," creator Chase told Co.CREATE.

"A typical one- to two-minute video takes about four hours to make, but I’m getting faster at it every time." The effect isn't seamless, but it's striking. Most of the mash-ups blend genders, like the below videos featuring Natalie Portman/Will Ferrell and Jennifer Lawrence/Jonah Hill, but there is a video of the famous courtroom scene in A Few Good Men between Tom Cruise and Jack Nicholson that brings something different to the project. Prepare to be creeped out by FaceMashups.
