Watch Anna Kendrick Get Stuck at the Reject Table in Wedding Comedy 'Table 19,' Plus More New Trailers

Jul 06, 2016

There's a new wedding movie out this weekend, which means there are new trailers for other upcoming movies involving weddings and marriage. Before that, though, we've also got another trailer for the anticipated new Laika animated feature. Watch them all below.

Kubo and the Two Strings

The studio that gave us Coraline and The Boxtrolls is back with another stop-motion animated film, this one the directorial debut of Laika Entertainment boss and formerly lead animator Travis Knight. Kubo and the Two Strings is a magical Japanese fairy tale with characters voiced by Charlize Theron, Matthew McConaughey, Rooney Mara, and Ralph Fiennes, and it opens in theaters on August 19.

Table 19

Anna Kendrick, who stars in the new movie Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates, is hitting the matrimonial subject matter again in this movie written by the Duplass brothers. It also reunites the actress with her Rocket Science director, Jeffrey Blitz. She plays a woman at the reject table at a wedding where she was supposed to be the maid of honor. Joining her there are Lisa Kudrow, Stephen Merchant, June Squibb, Craig Robinson and Tony Revolori. Find it in theaters on January 20, 2017.

The Intervention

Instead of celebrating the beginning of a marriage, this hit from Sundance is about a group of friends set on breaking one up. The feature directorial debut of actress Clea Duvall, who also co-stars as one of the friends, is clearly a twist on The Big Chill (and its many indie copycats) with an ensemble cast brought together at a summer home for a weekend getaway. Cobie Smulders and Vincent Piazza are the doomed couple, with Melanie Lynskey, Jason Ritter, Natasha Lyonne, Ben Schwartz and Alia Shawkat joining them for the awkward situation. Catch this one in theaters on August 16.
