It hit theaters two weeks ago, but Paul Thomas Anderson's The Master built a strong buzz for itself expanding to over 700 screens across the country. In thanks, the producers have released the Cannes promo reel featuring a selection of deleted scenes. If you've already seen the film about a charismatic leader (Philip Seymour Hoffman) who enlists a troubled Navy vet (Joaquin Phoenix) to his cause, then you'll recognize several moments in the mix, but it's a new look regardless. — will see their Tom Hanks and Halle Berry sci-fi drama Cloud Atlas

The film is based on David Mitchell's 2004 novel of the same name, and the adaptation won a standing ovation for the secret screening at this year's Fantastic Fest in Austin, Texas.
