Reportedly this opening scene from Superman Returns (included on the recently-released Superman Anthology Blu-Ray)-- in which we return to Krypton for an odd crystals-flying-through-space sequence -- cost $10 million to produce, though it was never used in the final film. Personally, in terms of Superman deleted scenes, we prefer these awesome deleted sequences from Superman IV. Why were these never used in the finished film -- if anything, it would've given stoners something to rewind and obsess over.
