I know what you're thinking: "If I had $20,000 right now, I'd so totally blow it on watching The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader
from my living room on the same day it arrives in theaters!"
If any of you out there really would blow 20 grand on that then you may have bigger issues best left on the therapist's couch. Of course, people like that do exist -- people who have absurd amounts of money and are willing to blow it all on the most ridiculous things. Doubt me? Just watch one episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
Which brings me to the news that, yes, there is a company launching in 2011 that, for a cool $20,000, will install a digital delivery service in your home that'll afford you the luxury of being able to watch movies for $500 a pop each on the day they hit theaters, instead of driving your fat ass to the movie theater and forking out $12 like everyone else.
I'm not sure who in their right mind would install this system for 20 grand then pay $500 to watch a movie like Cats & Dogs 2: The Revenge of Kitty Galore on the day it comes out, but then again there are much bigger idiots in this country, right?
