Dazed and Confused's David Wooderson is Matthew McConaughey's finest hour. That's not a slight on the rest of the actor's films, he's always likeable whether he's in a romantic comedy or an action movie, but he's never been as singularly perfect as he is as Lee High School's smoothest graduate working for the city. Then again, few performances ever reach the pure, can't-conceive-of-it-any-other-way bliss of McConaughey/Wooderson. It's such a divine marriage of actor and part that if alternate universes do indeed exist, the only constant between them all is the way McConaughey embodies, "All right, all right, all right." You can't even read those words without hearing it in his voice. You can try, but it's impossible.
Well now McConaughey has brought Wooderson back to life. Thankfully not in an official Dazed and Confused spin-off, because that's an experiment that would be too much of a good thing, but in a music video for the song "Synthesizers" by Butch Walker and the Black Widows.
