Horror Anthology 'V/H/S' Tones the Scares Down for New Green Band Trailer

Jul 10, 2012

If you couldn't brave the red band trailer for Magnolia's upcoming horror anthology V/H/S — which premiered at Sundance to fond reviews (while critics cringed in their seats) — the studio has released a new green band trailer for your perusal. The clip for the multi-story, found footage terror flick doesn't skimp on the scares despite its audience-friendly rating.

The House of the Devil’s Ti West, Adam Wingard (You’re Next), Joe Swanberg (You're Next), Radio Silence, David Bruckner (The Signal), and Glenn McQuaid (I Sell the Dead) direct the tale about a group of petty criminals hired by a mysterious client to recover a VHS tape from an abandoned house. They uncover a lifeless body and a massive movie collection once there. Disturbing footage on the tapes disrupts their mission in unsettling ways.

The movie premieres on VOD August 31 — where we plan to be curled up with someone in the dark for safety — before it hits theaters on October 5.
