UPDATE: The following Ant-Man test footage was screened yesterday for an event in London, and naturally the Internet is all up in arms about it... again. Since whatever leaked video was floating around has since been pulled, this is your best opportunity to see what that footage looks like. Hopefully Marvel satisfies fans by turning this footage into a trailer to play before Iron Man 3 in May. We also wouldn't be surprised to see some kind of Thor: The Dark World trailer screen then either.
Those who managed to get into Marvel's Comic-Con panel in San Diego this year were not only treated to Iron Man 3 footage, but we also got to see a very cool test reel that Edgar Wright put together for Ant-Man. While Marvel works behind the scenes to figure out when Wright will shoot Ant-Man and whether it'll be a part of its Phase Two or Phase Three plan, the folks who weren't at Comic-Con anxiously await the day when Marvel will decide to put that Ant-Man test footage online for all the world to see.
Unfortunately that day is not today, but what we do have is a fan-made storyboard slideshow that gives a great sense of what that footage actually looked like. As the video states, a fan re-created the storyboards of the scene from memory after Comic-Con and then put them all in this slideshow. So, technically, he didn't pirate the footage -- he just got a little more creative and reproduced it via fan-made drawings. Nice work.
Check out the video below, and keep in mind that while this is very similar to what was shown, it's obviously not the real thing, nor are these storyboards from Marvel. This is just the work of one inventive fan who simply couldn't wait any longer. [via CBM]
