For your daily dose of WTF, here's an extended trailer for Jonathan Glazer's surreal sci-fi film Under the Skin. If you're a regular reader, then you know we've been jonesing to see Scarlett Johansson as an alien seductress luring hitchhikers to their death. And you probably read our story about the actress inviting nonactors into her creepy van o' death — a nice conceptual slant to the idea that this alien woman walks amongst us.
We get a peek at her morbid seduction techniques in this new clip. It's brief, but it truly sets the tone for the twisted tale, showing Johansson on the prowl and later trying to escape (perhaps). Figures disappear in and out of darkness — a kind of parallel alien world. "You don't want to wake up do you?" Johansson's character whispers, shortly after a man walks toward her into pitch black. The subtle dread of Mica Levi's score complements Glazer's work brilliantly.
