Peter Facinelli: The actor who’s best known for playing pale-faced vampire Dr. Carlyle Cullen will remain in the world of fantasy. Peter Facinelli is set to star in Gallows Hill, a supernatural horror movie about a widowed father who travels to South America to retrieve his rebellious daughter, only to stumble into trouble when he frees another young girl from a basement in a rundown inn. Sophia Myles and Nathalie Ramos also star. [Heat Vision]

Cynthia Nixon: She’s been out of the spotlight since Sex and the City, but Cynthia Nixon is once again ready for her close-up. The actress has landed a plum role as poet Emily Dickinson in A Quiet Passion, a biopic that will be directed by Terence Davies (The Deep Blue Sea). Davies says he wrote the script with Nixon in mind; she described it as “a heady elixir.” [The Hollywood Reporter]

The Twilight Saga: If casting news is not enough for you, Twi-hards, fear not! Soon you’ll be able to soak up The Twilight Saga in its entirety in theaters. All five films will screen in a marathon session at select theaters nationwide on November 15.
