  • Gore's Quimo Sabe We now have a better idea of who director Gore Verbinski has in mind for the role of the Lone Ranger in the upcoming feature-film adaptation which already has Johnny Depp locked in as Tonto. During a promotional press junket for his upcoming animated Western Rango, Verbinski was pressed on who he envisioned as a good Lone Ranger. His response – Timothy Olyphant, who currently plays old-school U.S. Marshal Raylan Givens on the FX series Justified. George Clooney had long been rumored for the Ranger role and so it only leads us to the obvious "versus" question – Olyphant vs. Clooney vs. someone else. Who's your Lone Ranger? --Derrick Deane
