Iron Man 2

Who’s in the Kitchen?: The once and future Pepper Potts may star in a kitchen-themed biopic. Gwyneth Paltrow (above, in Iron Man 2) is in negotiations to play the lead role in Blood, Bones & Butter, based on a 2011 memoir by Gabrielle Hamilton, a foodie who had "an unconventional journey" in many, many kitchens from childhood to adulthood as a caterer and private chef, before becoming a chef and restaurant owner in Manhattan’s East Village in 1999. Robin Takes Two: He’s been away from the big screen for just three years, but Robin Williams is looking to make a comeback of sorts. First he’ll join Lee Daniels’ ensemble drama The Butler, playing a small part as U.S. President Dwight D. Eisenhower. Then he’ll segue into a lead role as The Angriest Man in Brooklyn, in which his obnoxious character is mistakenly informed by medic Mila Kunis that he only has 90 minutes to live. Fortunately, that one’s a comedy! Phil Alden Robinson (Sneakers) will direct. [HitFix]

Lost Quake: As we’ve noted, the premise of San Andreas 3D sounds like a mash-up of 2012 and The Day After Tomorrow, revolving around a man trying to reconcile with his estranged family after a massive earthquake in California. But it could become much more interesting, since Carlton Cuse (TV’s Lost) has just been hired to take another crack at the script, whose first draft came courtesy of Allan Loeb (Rock of Ages). Also, Brad Peyton (Journey 2: Mysterious Island) has concluded negotiations and is now officially attached to direct. [Variety]

Not Very Teased: We’re excited to see The Master, Paul Thomas Anderson’s first film since There Will Be Blood, which concerns the founding of a Scientology-like religion. Sorry to say, the first poster does absolutely nothing to whet our appetite further, but we have faith (and hope) that it will be worth the wait. The film hits theaters in limited release October 12th. [Collider]
