Ancient tales of yore tell us that all things in life are greater when you add a little Beyoncé, which is why Baz Luhrmann's new trailer for The Great Gatsby features a track from the singer (with Andre 3000) that opens the explosive, emotional clip. Leonardo DiCaprio's Jay Gatsby has had enough of Joel Edgerton's Tom Buchanan running his mouth. The men eventually battle for the heart of Daisy (Carey Mulligan), who happens to be married to Tom, but used to be involved with Gatsby. She struggles to choose between the wheeling and dealing millionaire and her conservative husband and his old-money ways. We're ready to move in with Gatsby if Daisy isn't (that mansion!).
A contemporary soundtrack — produced by Bey's husband Jay-Z and featuring tracks from Lana Del Rey, Florence and the Machine (both of which are heard in this trailer) and others — narrates the Roaring '20s tale. Luhrmann's films are an acquired taste for some audiences, but many have been anticipating his lavish take on the classic F. Scott Fitzgerald novel. The 3D spectacle hits theaters on May 10.
