Jeremy Renner in Bourne Legacy

Tuesday at the office getting you down? We’ve got two new behind-the-scenes clips that should brighten your day.

First up, a sneak peek at the upcoming The Bourne Legacy, which finds Jeremy Renner taking over for Matt Damon as an entirely new character headlining the popular franchise.

While the face and the name might be different, this featurette demonstrates that the fourth Bourne film is still all about intrigue and action as Renner uses his enhanced abilities to bring the pain to anyone who crosses his path. Looks like a bone-crunching good time.

This peek behind the scenes gives viewers some general insights into what they should expect from the new film when it hits theaters on August 10. Check it out and see what you think. [via The Movie Box]

The Bourne Legacy isn’t the only action film debuting this August – we’re also going to finally get a chance to see the long-awaited Total Recall remake. Colin FarrellKate BeckinsaleJessica Biel and Bryan Cranston star in this updating of the cult classic starring Arnold Schwarzenegger.

We’re generally wary of remakes, but this one looks like it might be fun.To get you in the mood, we’ve got a clip highlighting one of the film’s most difficult (and impressive) sequences.

The video has most of the cast talking about the stunts and action sequences featured in the title and showcases one of the more ambitious scenes in the film. Total Recall’s first fight scene reportedly took seven to eight days of shooting because director Len Wiseman devised a setup using multiple cameras sliding at high speed down lengths of track. This allows for the fight to be viewed from multiple angles while also looking like it was shot in one long take.

Given the multiple cameras and the frenetic nature of the fight choreography, this was a challenging sequence to pull off – but it looks like it was worth it when the clip gives you a glimpse of the finished product.

It’ll take more than some fancy camerawork for Total Recall to win over audiences, though. We’ll see if it can deliver when it debuts on August 3. [via The Movie Box]
