It's only February, but The Amazing Spider-Man has already revealed its first clip ... and it's definitely not what you would expect. A pure Peter Parker moment, here we watch as Parker (Andrew Garfield) attempts to visit his friend Gwen Stacy (Emma Stone) at her fancy Manhattan apartment. Problems arise for Parker -- who's carrying his trust Spider-Man costume in his backpack -- when the building's doorman gives him a hard time and wants to see what's inside his backpack.
The scene was revealed via the film's viral marketing campaign, Mark of the Spider-Man, which took things up a notch this weekend as it assembled fans across the country for missions that involved spray-painting the spider logo throughout various cities, legally of course. You can read a rundown of all that business over at FirstShowing, and check out the first clip below. No all-out action here, but it's February -- we've got time. Let this sucker build.
The Amazing Spider-Man hits theaters on July 3rd.
