Blink-and-You-Miss-It Teaser of the Day
-- Itching for that first look at footage from The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn? Well MTV has premiered a tiny piece of footage from the Breaking Dawn Part 1 trailer that they'll be premiering during the MTV Movie Awards this Sunday, and it gives us a little bit more of what we've already seen through previously released images. Yup, the Bella and Edward wedding is front and center in this first piece of teaser content, with quick glances at the back of Bella's head as she walks down the aisle, as well as a shot of Edward as he awaits his bride. The choice of music is a little strong for wedding sequences, but it should be enough to whet the appetites of those Twi-hard fans out there. WATCH THE TEASER RIGHT HERE.
Badass Casting Highlight of the Day
-- Bradley Cooper will join Ryan Gosling in the follow-up film for Blue Valentine writer-director Derek Cianfrance, according to Variety. It's called The Place Beyond the Pines, and it's being billed as a "multi-generational crime drama" about a pro motorcycle rider (Gosling) who robs banks to support his new baby and the cop (Cooper) who wants to hunt him down. The film, which begins production in late July, sounds a lot like Michael Mann's Heat, which followed a cop (Al Pacino) hot on the trail of a longtime bank robber (Robert De Niro). Gosling and Cooper are both charismatic and fun to watch, so this should be a solid offering. Better than Heat? Don't know if we can jump to those sorts of conclusions just yet. Thoughts?
