See an Awesome Supercut That Celebrates a Century of Classic Science Fiction Cinema

Science fiction has been one of cinema’s staple genres for almost as long as there have been movies – and what better way to celebrate that rich tradition than with this supercut featuring some of the greatest moments from sci-fi films over the past century?


Vimeo user 60fotogramas has curated this collection of scenes from 62 films, presented in chronological order, designed to highlight why sci-fi has endured and captivated us over the years. From titles like Metropolis through to Alfonso Cuaron’s Gravity, the video demonstrates the breadth and depth of the genre as it’s been presented on-screen over the years.

The only caveat we’ll offer before watching it is that it contains a few minor spoilers – but you’re probably already well aware of most of them if you’re really into the genre.
