Steven Soderbergh's Male Stripper Flick Adds More Male Strippers

Aug 18, 2011

It's raining men for Steven Soderbergh's male stripper extravaganza. Magic Mike -- based on star Channing Tatum's real-life stint as an exotic dancer, shaking his money maker in a Tampa, Florida club -- has added some new beefcake to its lineup. Variety and THR report that Matt Bomer and Matthew McConaughey have joined the film's male revue. They join the previously mentioned Tatum who plays a veteran dancer that takes the fresh meat (Alex Pettyfer) under his wing to show him the ropes.

Bomer is trading USA's White Collar for the part of a male dancer, while McConaughey -- who should feel right at home in this since he's often seen without his shirt -- will play a former dancer named Dallas. He owns the club, Xquisite, where the pole dancing happens. Soderbergh's indie drama promises lots of banana hammocks, tales of friendship, and more. Deadline reports that "Soderbergh has called the film "sexy, funny and shocking" using Saturday Night Fever as a model."

Which handsome face and hard body are you most looking forward to seeing on the stage?
