The Star Wars prequels get their fair share of abuse from the Internet – and rightfully so – but not everything about them was a complete disaster. Take this awesome sizzle reel featuring the work of Visual FX artist Noel Rubin.
Rubin designed UI and UX interface design for the many star cruisers’ interfaces. The video features work used in Episode I and Episode III, with insert shots chosen by Rubin himself. Don’t worry about any random Jar-Jar sightings, because everyone’s least favorite Gungan is nowhere to be found in this video.
The artist gives us a handy breakdown of what UIs are in the clip – so if you’re curious, but not a complete Star Wars nut, here’s the key to what’s what:
Highlights include: Star Wars: Episode I - Trade Federation Battleship (blue UI), Naboo Queenship (red UI), R2-D2 Naboo Palace hologram, Anakin's Pod Racer (orange UI), Star Wars: Episode III - Trade Federation Cruiser ship (green UI).
Have a peek at the video below and see what you think.
