What happens when a bunch of film critics program a film festival? In the case of The Chicago Film Critics Association you get a weekend packed with some of the best movies we've seen this year (and last) on the festival circuit. Reminiscent of what Gen Art used to do with its spring film festival in New York, the Chicago critics opted to stuff their fest full of movies that were fan favorites at other festivals and haven't screened in Chicago yet, offering locals the rare chance of seeing a ton of great films that haven't played in Chicago and, in some cases, don't even have distribution yet.
Yeah, we're kinda jealous of Chicago right about now.
