Now that we have your attention....It’s official.
Steven Soderbergh is the hardest working retired director in Hollywood. Having completed
Haywire, an action vehicle for mixed martial arts fighter Gina Carano that co-stars
Channing Tatum and Michael Douglas, and
Contagion, a drama about a deadly virus outbreak starring Matt Damon and Kate Winslet, Soderbergh has
added another movie to his production schedule –
Magic Mike, a story based on Tatum’s real-life experiences as a 19-year-old stripper. The storyline follows Tatum’s character as he schools a young dancer on how to hustle on and off the stage and the prolific director says he’s using
Saturday Night Fever as his model for the movie. While the combination of the words “Channing Tatum,” and “stripper,” will have a considerable chunk of the female movie-going audience interested, we ask the rest of you – are you intrigued?
