Jennifer Lawrence's rise to stardom has been pretty meteoric ever since she seemingly came out of nowhere in Winter's Bone in 2010. That fantastic indie drama may have been what put her on Hollywood's radar, but what put her on pop culture's map was The Hunger Games. And while she no doubt owes many, many, many of her fans to that film, it's good to see that she doesn't take it too seriously.
The recent Golden Globe winner and Oscar nominee hosted Saturday Night Live over the weekend, and not only is it nice to see that poking fun at her massive moneymaker wasn't off the table, but that it's not exclusively self-deprecating humor, either. Even if you love The Hunger Games, you must admit the movie makes some silly choices, be it in the costume and wardrobe departments or in casting to begin with, and SNL's writers took notice.
Poor, poor Peeta Mellark.
But that wasn't the only movie Lawrence helped make fun of on SNL. She also pops up in one of The Hobbit's many, many, many sequels.
