Skyrim. If that word means anything to you, your mouse is already instinctively gliding to the play button. If you're unfamiliar with Skyrim, it is the fifth game in the very popular Elder Scrolls series of fantasy RPGs, its biggest predecessors being 2006' Oblivion and 2002's Morrowind, and is scheduled for release on November 11, 2011. (I wonder if the box office for Immortals will be affected by the legions of shared-demographic gamers staying home that weekend?) Ahead of that release, developer/publisher Bethesda Softworks have decided to give fans a very special treat in the form of a live-action trailer for the game.
It doesn't show a lot, but we're going to go out on a limb and say that fans of the series are going to have heart palpitations at the idea of a live-action trip to the heart of dragon country. Sadly, this is just an ad for the game and not an actual movie, but it's awesome all the same.
From Wikipediea: "Skyrim's main story revolves around the player character's efforts to defeat a dragon god who is prophesied to destroy the world. Set two hundred years after Oblivion, the game takes place in the land of Skyrim in the midst of a civil war after the assassination of the king. The open world gameplay of theElder Scrolls series is continued in Skyrim, as the player character can explore the land at will and ignore or postpone the main quest indefinitely."
