First Poster for 'Skyfall' Uses Familiar James Bond Iconography

May 17, 2012

The James Bond film franchise has produced plenty of its own iconography over the last few decades. What pops into your head when you hear the words James Bond depends on what era of the British spy you're fondest of, but whether your mind jumps to Sean Connery or Pierce Brosnan, there's one constant: A handsome man in sharp suit starring down the barrel of a gun. That's the image MGM and Columbia Pictures have decided to use for Skyfall, Daniel Craig's third outing as the super spy, except they're also teasing a part of the film that's set beneath the streets of London.

The poster doesn't reveal much about the tone (other than dark) and plot of Skyfall unfortunately, but we won't have to wait too long to see that side of the marketing; word has it the trailer will be release online next week and attached to Men in Black III in theaters. But you don't have to wait that long, either. You can hop over to our Skyfall set visit to learn the answers to ten big questions we had about the film.
