When Sin City debuted back in 2005, it was pretty tremendous. Based on Frank Miller's hard-boiled graphic novel about a bunch of damaged characters whose lives intersect in seedy, dramatic ways, the film's gritty, unique flavor quickly made it a fan favorite. Folks have been desperate for a sequel ever since, and while it took longer than we would've liked, Sin City: A Dame to Kill For is finally arriving in theaters this year (August 22) -- and here's the Sin-tastic trailer to prove it.
Looks pretty good if you ask us. Just as stylish and badass as the original, with a rockin' edge to it and even better visuals (we love the glow of Jessica Alba's hair as she glides across the club stage).
The sequel will be comprised of existing Sin City stories, as well as ones Frank Miller created solely for the movie. Returning from the 2005 version are Jessica Alba, Rosario Dawson, Jaime King, Powers Boothe, Mickey Rourke and Bruce Willis, while newcomers to the series include Eva Green, Josh Brolin, Jamie Chung, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Dennis Haysbert, Marton Csokas, Julia Garner, Juno Temple, Ray Liotta, Stacy Keach, Christopher Meloni, Lady Gaga, Jeremy Piven and Crystal McCahill.
