Sicario

Already shaping up to be one of this year's most exciting thrillers, Sicario promises to deliver a combination of cinematic excitement and thoughtful insight into the drug issue when it slams into theaters in limited release on September 18, and then wide on September 25.

The film exploded out of the Cannes Film Festival in May. Emily Blunt stars as an FBI agent who is assigned by an elite government task force official (Josh Brolin) to go to Mexico to help bust a powerful drug cartel. She joins a team led by Benicio Del Toro, whose mysterious past clouds the situation as the investigation proves to be far more complicated and dangerous than anticipated.

Denis Villenueve directed; he's built up a tremendous head of steam recently with the acclaimed thrillers Prisoners and Enemy, and his latest looks ready to bowl people over. Victor Garber and Jon Bernthal also star.

We're pleased to premiere five unique Loteria card posters, which you can feast your eyes on below. They pay homage to traditional Loteria cards; Loteria is a game that originated in Mexico and is similar to bingo, but distinguishes itself by using images on a deck of cards rather than numbers on ping pong balls. Every image has a name and an assigned number. The sampling of cards below features the lead cast members.
