Want to feel just a tad bit older than you did when you woke up this morning? Shaun of the Dead came out 10 years ago today (going by its U.K. release date). It doesn't seem like it was that long ago, does it? It feels like just yesterday on our end, at least, but then again we're the type of people who use movies to help us ignore the conveyor belt of time that draws us inexorably closer to oblivion.
On a much happier note, to celebrate the anniversary, the makers of Shaun of the Dead have released an "interactive" screenplay that is 100% free for anyone to download and enjoy. The only reason we put "interactive" in quotes is because the only interactive aspect appears to be that you have to keep clicking to read it. The script's pages are adorned with images from the film and behind-the-scenes stills for extra flare, so that's a bonus.
If Shaun's not your favorite in Edgar Wright's Three Flavors of Cornetto trilogy, don't start thinking about oblivion just yet. They've also released the screenplays for Hot Fuzz and The World's End. Happy day!
