See the First Footage from Darren Aronofsky's 'Noah' and 'Divergent'

Noah Russell Crowe

Darren Aronofsky’s biblical epic Noah is gearing up for its March 2014 release date, but the production has reportedly hit some snags after test-audience screenings. The latest buzz indicates there’s still a behind-the-scenes battle being fought between Aronofsky and Paramount over the final cut of the $125 million film that finds Russell Crowe building an ark.

Details about what the issue is exactly remain closely guarded (rumors abound that Paramount is nervous about the third act and how it will play with religious viewers), but that hasn’t stopped the studio from readying a new trailer for the feature.

ET has the teaser (yes, we’ve got a teaser for a trailer. This is where the movie industry is these days…) and will be showcasing the full thing tonight. This new clip features footage from the upcoming preview (including Russell Crowe having his vision of the great flood) and looks nicer than the grainy bootleg that was floating (pun fully intended) around about a month ago.

The real question is, how much of this footage will actually turn up in the finished film? If Paramount and Aronofsky are still tinkering with Noah and duking it out over final cut, there could be some significant changes ahead. We probably won’t know much until we get closer to March, so in the meantime hop on board the ark and enjoy this tiny teaser ahead of today’s trailer reveal.

Bonus: Here's another teaser for the upcoming Divergent trailer, which arrives later today.
