Say It Ain't So! Clint Eastwood Family Set to Star in E! Reality Series

Dec 15, 2011

Clint EastwoodClint Eastwood, one of Hollywood’s most iconic actors and filmmakers, is set to follow in the footsteps of Gene Simmons, Ozzy Osbourne, and the Kardashians with his newly announced reality show set to air on E!. Say it ain’t so, Clint…

TMZ initially broke the news that the Eastwood family is already shooting footage for the new show, and that the series will be a Kardashian-esque romp chronicling the lives of Eastwood’s wife Dina and his two teenage daughters Morgan and Francesca. The Oscar-winning Eastwood will reportedly appear on the show, but only peripherally, so as to not distract the world from focusing on his wife and daughters – who don’t appear to have any discernible talent and therefore are totally worthy of being the focus of a reality show. After all, who’d want to spend time following around one of the greatest and most beloved actors of our generation when we can watch his wife and teenage daughters live the good life in California instead? That’s surely the far more fascinating approach to take here, right?

The show will be produced by Bunim/Murray Productions, the fine folks responsible for bringing us dreck like the Kardashian show and The Real World. We’re not positive, but we’re starting to feel like there might be a theme or formula to these Bunim/Murray shows…

The company says they hope to have some episodes of the new Eastwood series in the can and ready to air in the next few months. God help us all. Today, we’re certainly a group of punks who feel anything but lucky…
