If I Stay

Chloe Grace Moretz’ latest picture If I Stay? is bridging the gap between her genre roles and the dramatic parts she seems to be headed toward. The tearjerker, based on the popular YA book of the same name by Gayle Forman, finds the Carrie star playing a cellist named Mia, who falls in love with the rocker guy at school. A devastating accident throws everything to the fates and leaves the young student in a coma. Spirit separated from body, Mia is forced to watch helplessly as her loved ones plea with her to “stay.” For an out-of-body experience with a side of teen tragedy, catch If I Stay in theaters on August 22.

Third Person

If you’ve recovered from the awfulness of Crash, Paul Haggis has another potentially nauseating story for you — this time an interlocking tale of love involving three couples in cities across the world: Third Person. Liam Neeson plays a writer who is crafting a story that appears to be connected to said love stories — or perhaps is actually about these couples (really fictional characters?), and all is not as it appears. Either way, it’s a little tiresome to see an old goat like Neeson (as much as we love him and his particular set of skills; skills he’s acquired over a very long career. Skills that make him a nightmare for people like you… sorry) matched with another young actress half his age (here, Olivia Wilde). And in case you wanted another reason to hate on James Franco, this character of his looks as icky as the actor's recent teen creeping antics on Instagram. Enjoy!

Rosemary's Baby

This May, take a trip back to the Bramford apartment buiding, where Zoe Saldana’s Rosemary and her hubby (Patrick J. Adams) are building their new life together... and having Satan’s baby. Inspired by Roman Polanski’s 1968 horror film, and based on Ira Levin's 1967 best-selling novel, NBC is bringing Rosemary’s Baby to the TV network for a two parter in May. It’s the age-old story of boy meets girl, girl marries boy, boy accepts an amazing job, but it turns out to be a gateway into an underground network of Satanists who impregnate unsuspecting women (namely, boy’s wife).

Catch the premiere of the adaptation on May 11.
