It's beginning to look a lot like Star Wars, as a new colder season and daylight savings time reminds us that winter is right around the corner -- and with it, a new Star Wars movie.
Rogue One: A Star Wars Story director Gareth Edwards stopped by the Star Wars show earlier this week with a gorgeous new poster for the movie, and now we have a new trailer to go with it.
Here's the trailer
Here's the poster
The poster's got all the makings of classic Star Wars art, with a familiar design and layout reminiscent of previous Star Wars posters -- not to mention the fact that it, too, plays with the light vs dark theme. All the characters are there front and center along with a calming blue tint that teases a beach side battle the likes of which we've never seen in a Star Wars movie.
As for the trailer, this is easily the most comprehensive we've had so far, and it seems to take us through the entire story. From Jyn's father being taken by the Empire when she was young to apparently help them build a Death Star to Jyn's recruitment by the Rebels to help destroy said Death Star to Jyn's alignment with other Rebels in their pursuit of a shared goal -- it's all in there. And it all looks pretty spectacular.
And, of course, Darth Vader's presence looms over it all.
Rogue One: A Star Wars Story hits theaters December 16. Check out some additional stills from the trailer below.
