RoboCop: The new version of RoboCop began filming in Toronto over the weekend, and the first photos of Joel Kinnaman in the newly designed robotic law enforcer suit sparked a flood of reactions -- mostly negative -- on various social media platforms. To be fair, movie costumes in real life rarely resemble their final appearance on-screen, but the remake seems to be fighting an unfortunate uphill battle when it comes to redesigning an iconic outfit. The Boondock Saints Sequel: Originally released in 2000, crime drama The Boondock Saints performed disastrously at the box office, but earned a cult following on video, leading to 2009’s The Boondock Saints: All Saints Day, which was roundly dismissed by critics. Still, it must have its fans, because actor Norman Reedus claims that a third installment is “definitely in the works.” [IFC]
The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey: A new trailer for the first installment in The Hobbit trilogy will be unveiled on Wednesday; until then, feast your eyes on two of the new character posters revealed for the film. Bringing Up Bobby Trailer: In between making the two most recent Resident Evil movies, Milla Jovovich starred in Bringing Up Bobby, an indie comedy-drama directed by Famke Janssen (X-Men) about a woman struggling to raise her son in an unconventional manner.
