The Amazing Spider-Man 2

The Amazing Spider-Man 2: Our first look at Paul Giamatti as the Rhino (aka Aleksei Sytsevich) in The Amazing Spider-Man 2 reveals someone who looks very angry about… something. The photo comes courtesy of Twitter-friendly director Marc Webb. We can't wait to see the character in full Rhino makeup and costume, but for now, this is a potent peek ahead at the movie, which is charging toward its release on May 2, 2014. Star Wars: Episode VII: The Star Wars prequel trilogy was shot mainly in Australia, but the original trilogy was mainly made in the  United Kingdom, and Star Wars: Episode VII is returning to its roots. Lucasfilm's Kathleen Kennedy noted: "We've devoted serious time and attention to revisiting the origins of Star Wars as inspiration for our process on the new movie, and I'm thrilled that returning to the U.K. for production and utilizing the incredible talent there can be a part of that." Chef: Robert Downey Jr. has joined the cast of indie comedy Chef, reteaming him with Jon Favreau (Iron Man and Iron Man 2), who is directing from his own script. Production begins on July 8; Favreau stars as a restaurant chef who loses his job and starts over with a food truck. Other cast members include Sofia Vergara and John Leguizamo. No word on how big a role Downey would be playing, but wouldn't it be great if he played a Gordon Ramsay type of firebrand? [Variety]

Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Teaser: Agent Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg) is back, and he's front and center in the first full teaser for Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., emphasizing that it's "no longer spy vs. spy" and that the whole world is involved. Positioned as "continuing" the adventures of Marvel's The Avengers, the series will be broadcast on ABC, with a premiere date yet to be announced. [Marvel]
