Peter Berling (1934-2017) - German Actor. He co-starred in the Werner Herzog movies FitzcarraldoCobra Verde and Aguirre, the Wrath of God, as well as Martin Scorsese's The Last Temptation of Christ and Gangs of New York, Jean-Jacques Annaud's The Name of the Rose and Black and White in Color, Bela Tarr's Satantango (see below) and Rainer Werner Fassbinder's The Marriage of Maria BraunVeronika VossBeware of a Holy WhoreWhity, Martha and Love Is Colder Than Death. Paul Buckmaster (1946-2017) - British Composer, Musician. He composed music for the movies 12 Monkeys and Son of Dracula and participated on the soundtracks for MulanThe World's Fastest Indian and The Man Who Fell to Earth. He died on November 7. (Ultimate Classic Rock)

Brad Bufanda (1983-2017) - Actor. He had a recurring role on TV's Veronica Mars and also appears in the movies A Cinderella Story and Dark Tourist. He committed suicide on November 1. (Variety)

Pablo Cedron (1958-2017) - Argentine Actor. He starred in The AuraThe Appeared and this year's The Lost Brother. He died on November 1. (Exitoina)

Don Pedro Colley (1938-2017) - Actor. He stars as SRT in THX 1138 (see below) and appears in Beneath the Planet of the ApesHerbie Rides Again and Black Caesar. He actually died on October 11. (THR)

Karen Dor (1938-2017) - German Actress. She played Bond girl Helga Brandt in You Only Live Twice (see below) and starred in TopazThe Face of Fu Manchu and The Torture Chamber of Dr. Sadism. She died on November 6. (THR)

Mona Fong (1934-2017) - Hong Kong Producer. Her movie credits include The 36th Chamber of ShaolinReturn to the 36th ChamberDisciples of the 36th ChamberFive Deadly Venoms and Five Element Ninjas. She died on November 22. (The Standard)

William Frye (1921-2017) - Producer. His movie credits include Airport 1975, Airport '77, The Trouble With Angels and Raise the Titanic. He died on November 3. (THR)

Robert Getchell (1936-2017) - Screenwriter. He received Oscar nominations for his original screenplay for Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore and his adapted script for Bound for Glory. He also was nominated for a Razzie for co-writing Mommie Dearest. His other movies include Sweet DreamsPoint of No Return and The Client. He actually died on October 21. (THR)

Brad Harris (1933-2017) - Stunt Man, Actor, Producer. A member of the Stuntman's Hall of Fame, his movie credits include Spartacus, 3:10 to Yuma, Jailhouse Rock, Love Me Tender, the 1983 Hercules and Cowboy and starred as the lead in Samson (see below) and Goliath Against the Giants. Anthony Harvey (1931-2017) - British Filmmaker. He was nominated for an Oscar for directing The Lion in Winter. He also helmed They Might Be Giants, Dutchman, Grace Quigley and the 1973 version of The Glass Menagerie. Earlier he was the editor of Stanely Kubrick's Lolita and Dr. Strangelove and Martin Ritt's The Spy Who Came in From the Cold. He died on November 23. (THR

Robert Hirsch (1925-2017) - French Actor. He starred in the 1956 version of The Hunchback of Notre Dame, as well as Shock TreatmentPlucking the DaisyThe Hotshots and Hiver 54, l'abbe Pierre, for which he won a Cesar Award. He died on November 16. (E1)

Rance Howard (1928-2017) - Actor. He appears in Chinatown, Independence Day, The Lone Ranger, Mars Attacks!, Ed Wood, Cool Hand Luke, Nebraska, Innerspace, The 'Burbs and his son Ron Howard's A Beautiful Mind, Angels & Demons, Apollo 13, Cinderella Man, Frost/Nixon, Splash, Far and Away, Cocoon, Parenthood and The Missing. He also co-wrote and produced Ron Howard's directorial debut, Grand Theft Auto. He died on November 25. (Deadline)

Alain Jessua (1932-2017) - French Filmmaker. He won a screenwriting award at the Cannes Film Festival for The Killing Day. His other movies include Shock Treatment and The Dogs, and he also worked as an assistant director on Max Ophuls's Lola Montes. He died on November 30. (Le Figaro)

Julio Oscar Mechoso (1955-2017) - Character Actor. He appears in Little Miss SunshineJurassic Park IIIVirus (see below), Phone BoothBad Boys, and Robert Rodriguez's Planet TerrorMachete KillsOnce Upon a Time in Mexico. He died of a heart attack on November 25. (THR)

Mark Milsome (1963-2017) - British Cinematographer, Cameraperson, Clapper Loader. His movie credits include Saving Private Ryan, Quantum of Solace, The Theory of Everything, Finding Neverland, The Constant Gardener, Four Weddings and a Funeral, Cliffhanger, Hackers, Elizabeth: The Golden Age and Memphis Belle. He died while filming a stunt for the Netflix movie The Forgiving Earth on November 18. (Variety)

Wood Moy (1918-2017) - Chinese-American Actor. He starred in Wayne Wang's Chan Is Missing and appears in Howard the Duck and the 1978 version of Invasion of the Body Snatchers. He died on November 8. (THR)

Jim Nabors (1930-2017) - Actor. Best known for his TV roles on The Andy Griffith Show and Gomer Pyle: USMC, he also co-starred alongside Burt Reynolds in the movies Cannonball Run IIThe Best Little Whorehouse in Texas and Stroker Ace (see below). He died on November 30. (THR)

Baard Owe (1936-2017) - Scandinavian Actor. He starred in Lars von Trier's Europa, Medea and The Kingdom, plus Headhunters, O'Horten and Carl Theodor Dreyer's Gertrud. He died of lung cancer on November 11. (BT)

Della Reese (1931-2017) - Singer, Actress. Best known for TV' Touched by an Angel, she also appears in the movies Harlem Nights (see below), Beauty Shop and The Distinguished Gentleman and voiced a character in Disney's Dinosaur. She died on November 19. (THR)

Hans-Michael Rehberg (1938-2017) - Geman Actor. He portrayed Auschwitz commandant Rudolf Hoss in Schindler's List and also appears in The Dark ValleyThe Wall and Rainer Werner Fassbender's Berlin Alexanderplatz. He died on November 7. (Spiegel)

Ken Shapiro (1942-2017) - Filmmaker. He wrote and directed The Groove Tube, in which he also stars, and Modern Problems. He died of cancer on November 18. (THR)

Mel Tillis (1932-2017) - Country Singer, Songwriter, Actor. Best known for writing the song "Ruby, Don't Take Your Love to Town," which can be heard on many soundtracks, he also played the Cannonballer Mel in The Cannonball Run and Cannonball Run II and appears in Smokey and the Bandit II, Every Which Way But Loose, The Villain (see below) and Beer for My Horses. Anne Wedgeworth (1934-2017) - Actress. She starred in ScarecrowSweet Dreams and The Whole Wide World and also appears in Green CardSteel MagnoliasMy Science Project and Far North. She died on November 16. (THR)

William Weintraub (1926-2017) - Canadian Filmmaker. His movies include the documentary Nahanni and The Rise of Fall of English Monstreal and the romantic comedy Why Rock the Boat? He died on November 6. (THR)
