Orlando Bloom is confirmed to return to Middle Earth as Legolas for Peter Jackson.  And speaking of The Hobbit, Warner Bros. have just announced the official movie titles and release dates: The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey hits December 14, 2012. The Hobbit: There and Back Again follows later on December 13, 2013.

According to Deadline, Shannon Elizabeth has finally given in (seriously, they refer to her as the last holdout) and will appear in the new American Pie film, American Reunion.

Hugo Weaving tells an Australian newspaper that he'll be playing 6 different roles in the Wachowski's upcoming Cloud Atlas. [Via the Playlist]

Zach Braff is in final negotiations to play James Franco's right hand man in Sam Raimi's Oz: The Great and Powerful.

Isaiah Mustafa really wants to do two things: shake his Old Spice guy persona and play Luke Cage in the currently non-existent Marvel movie.  So to make sure people take him seriously, he made a pretty cool audition tape for the job.  Well played, Mustafa, well played.

Alice Braga, she of Predators and I Am Legend, has been cast in an unknown role in Neill Blomkamp's District 9 follow-up, Elysium.
