Quick Hits: More Dark Knight Rises Casting, Tom Cruise to Oblivion

May 20, 2011

A third trailer has emerged for Transformers: Dark of the Moon.  It's actually not a whole lot different than the second trailer, but it does show off a bit more.

Variety is reporting that Matthew Modine and Tom Conti have been cast in unknown roles in The Dark Knight Rises.

According to Collider, G.I. Joe 2 will neither be filming in 3D or converted to 3D.  That's the word now, though.  Wait a year and Paramount may be singing a different tune.

Tom Cruise has signed on to headline Oblivion, Tron: Legacy director Joseph Kosinski's post-apocalyptic sci-fi story.

Fresh faces Chris Vance and Andrea Osvart have been cast as the male and female leads in Cinemax's Transporter series.

Remember that Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg football comedy called Turkey Bowl that was announced the other day?  Good, now forget that.  It's now called Three Mississippi and Alec Baldwin will also be in it.

Bridesmaids director Paul Feig, speculating on a sequel, says he loves the characters and it would be "a crime to not use them again."
