May 12, 2011

Though early buzz for it has been fairly mild, horror fans should be happy to know that John Carpenter's The Ward is now set for a June 8th VOD premiere, followed by a July 8th limited theatrical run.

Ben Whishaw and Hugo Weaving have signed on for Cloud Atlas, the new sci-fi flick produced by the Wachowskis and directed by Tom Tykwer.

Matthew McConaughey and Hilary Swank will star in The Dallas Buyer's Club, which Variety tells us is "based on the true story of a man's fight for justice against the U.S. government's Food and Drug Administration."

The Playlist has your first look at Salma Hayek (as a red head!) and Mathie Demy in Americano.

Gandalf gives his badass approval to 3D use on The Hobbit:

Michael Fassbender, Steve Coogan, Robert Sheehan and Bronagh Gallagher will star in Good Vibrations, a biopic about "Belfast's godfather of punk," Terri Hooley.

Jack Black will star in Michael Winterbottom's Bailout, an adaptation of Jess Walter's novel, The Financial Lives of Poets.
